Modified Cars for Sale in Phoenix

Arizona Elite Motors is a Phoenix dealership specializing in pre-owned modified, supercharged, and tuned performance cars. Our modified inventory regularly includes built Corvette Z06s with supercharger upgrades, supercharged Shelby GT500s, Stage 2 and 3 Subaru WRX STIs, ECU-tuned BMW M3s, AMG builds, and Hellcats with pulley and tune upgrades.

Phoenix's Modified Car Specialist

Arizona Elite Motors is built around the modified-car buyer. While most dealerships avoid aftermarket modifications - or worse, strip them before sale and price the car as stock - AEM stocks, documents, and values modified builds as first-class inventory. Our floor regularly features cars with supercharger kits, built motors, ECU tunes, long-tube headers, aftermarket suspension, and complete build threads.

Every modified vehicle on our floor comes with as much documentation as the previous owner kept. We walk buyers through every change that has been made, share supporting receipts where available, and can explain the impact of each modification on reliability, daily drivability, and resale. Modified cars are financeable through our lender network, and we offer nationwide delivery with enclosed transport.

Common modified builds in our inventory: Corvette Z06s with ProCharger or Whipple supercharger kits pushing 800+ horsepower, Shelby GT500s with pulley and tune upgrades, Stage 2 and 3 Subaru STIs with larger turbos, tuned G80 M3s and G82 M4s with ECU flashes and downpipes, AMG cars with ECU tunes and long-tube headers, and modified Hellcats with pulley upgrades and supporting mods.

FAQ

Frequently Asked

What counts as a modified car at Arizona Elite Motors?

We list a vehicle as modified if it has any significant aftermarket changes beyond OEM spec: supercharger or turbocharger upgrades, ECU tunes, built internals, aftermarket camshafts, long-tube headers, larger injectors or pumps, coilover or spring/shock packages, and similar changes. Cosmetic-only changes (wheels, wraps) are listed separately.

Are modified cars harder to finance?

No, not at AEM. We work with lender partners who specifically underwrite modified and performance builds. Most of our customers finance their purchases even with supercharger kits, ECU tunes, and other modifications. Documentation of modifications helps strengthen the financing package.

Do modified cars lose value faster?

Well-documented modifications on established platforms (GT500, Z06, STI, M3, Hellcat) typically hold value well, especially when the modifications are reversible and come with original parts. Poorly documented or platform-inappropriate modifications can impact resale. AEM prefers to stock the former and pass on the latter.

Does AEM perform its own modifications?

No. AEM does not operate an in-house performance shop. We stock cars that came to us modified with documentation from the previous owner or their trusted shop. We can recommend Phoenix-area performance shops for post-purchase modifications if you want to continue building your car.

How are modified cars inspected?

Every modified vehicle on our floor goes through a pre-purchase inspection that looks at both stock components and the specific modifications on the car. For supercharged or heavily-tuned vehicles, we evaluate fuel system adequacy, cooling upgrades, and supporting modifications to confirm the build is sustainable for long-term ownership.

Can I trade in my modified car?

Yes. AEM values trade-ins with aftermarket modifications fairly - unlike big-box dealers who typically only credit factory spec. Bring your modification receipts, tune logs, and any build documentation. The more documentation you have, the higher the trade-in value we can support.

What are the most common modified cars AEM carries?

Our most common modified inventory: supercharged Corvette Z06s, pulley-upgraded Shelby GT500s, Stage 2 and 3 Subaru WRX STIs, ECU-tuned G80 BMW M3s and G82 M4s, modified AMG C63 and E63 cars, and pulley-and-tune Hellcats. Specific platforms rotate weekly based on what comes through.

Do modified cars affect warranty or CARFAX reporting?

Factory warranties typically do not cover failures directly caused by aftermarket modifications, and most of our modified inventory is out of factory warranty anyway. CARFAX reports do not itemize modifications - they report accident and title events. AEM provides separate modification documentation to supplement the CARFAX.
